Rabindranath Tagore College of Education for Women (R.T.C.Ed.,), was Established by the Rabindranath Tagore Educational Charitable Trust in the year 2005. This trust is a renowned, benevolent, charitable, educational trust was founded by Prof. Dr. M. Karunanithi, B.Pharm, M.S. Ph.D., D.Litt, a powerful eminent Educationist.

Rabindranath Tagore College of Education for Women was established with the motive to impart exceptionally superior teacher education. R.T.C.Ed., is approved by NCTE, New Delhi and affiliated to TamilNadu Teachers Education University, Chennai. The college bestows an erudite atmosphere crafted with ethics, to adorn the education of the girl students. The college is geared up with excellent facilities and state-of-the-art infrastructure. It inculcates research attitude and aptitude among the students.

The Rabindranath Tagore College of Education for Women has a team of highly qualified, eminent and dedicated faculty with vast experience. Eligibility for B.Ed.,
B.Ed. 2 Year

The candidate should have passed the UG Degree examination in the 10+2+3 stream, with the same main subject in Part III, for which she is seeking admission to the B.Ed., Course.
Candidates who have taken more than one main subject in Part III (Double or Triple major) of the U.G. degree have to choose only one of the main subject and apply for that optional in B.Ed.
Candidates who have done their U.G. degree in Applied Chemistry, Biochemistry or Applied Physics can apply for Chemistry and Physics optional respectively in B.Ed, those who have done Environmental Science and Microbiology can apply for Biology optional in B.Ed,
Candidates belonging to OC - 50%, BC 45% , MBC - 43% & SC/ST pass in the relevant UG Degree course.

Eligibility for M.Ed.,
M.Ed. 2 Year
A candidate shall be eligible for admission to the course leading to the Degree of Master of Education provided he/she has passed a Bachelors Degree Examination in Education of this University or some other University recognized by the Syndicate as equivalent thereto, with a minimum of 50% marks in theory and practical separately.
The basis of selection of candidate for admission shall be based on the existing regulations of the university/Government of Tamil Nadu.

Scholarship
Students of this College avail Scholarship like Government of India Scholarship (SC/ST Scholarship and Special Scholarship) through the College
